Creative Writing Competition

REGULATIONS
The participant schools should meet at “Las Cumbres” School at 2:00 p.m.
a) There will be five categories, one per senior class and two candidates per category (from each of the participating schools).
b) Lined paper, and rough paper, pens and other writing materials will be provided by the Sponsor.
c) No dictionary may be used.
d) The Competition will begin at 2:15 p.m. Candidates will be given 2 hours to write their compositions.
e) Candidates must use a nickname for their compositions. NOT their real names or anything that resembles their real name. Before the competition candidates will complete a form with their full names and the nickname selected. This information will be kept in a sealed envelope until the end of the competition.
f) The subjects will be given to the candidates at school on the day of the Competition.

Subjects
Senior 1: Choice out of 3 subjects, approximately 150 words.
Senior 2: Choice out of 3 subjects, approximately 200 words.
Senior 3: Choice out of 3 subjects, approximately 250 words.
Senior 4: Choice out of 3 subjects, approximately 300 words.
Senior 5: Choice out of 3 subjects, approximately 350 words.

The number of words is not a limit. It is only a suggestion.
